  1. On Thursday morning, a five-alarm fire broke out in Queens inside of a commercial building with approximately 30 kiosks inside. 200 firefighters responded to the scene at 40-10 Main St. in Flushing and got the "stubborn" fire under control. According to fire officials, no injuries were reported. (Spectrum News NY1)
  2. An NYC man was duct-taped and pistol-whipped by robbers posing as Con Ed workers on Thursday. Police are looking for the suspects after they flashed guns at a 41-year-old man who was standing next to a gated entrance to his Ozone Park front yard and forced their way into the victim’s home on 95th Ave. near 83rd St. Once inside, the victim's 62-year-old mother and 74-year-old father were ordered to sit in chairs while the crooks bound their son and assaulted him, before stealing $3,000 from a safe in the basement. (Yahoo)
  3. An eight-month-old baby from Queens will finally be heading home after a life-saving liver transplant. Ariany Perez is alive today at Montefiore Medical Center because a stranger, "double donor" John Rubino, gave a piece of his liver to her on Mar. 2. Rubino says that he feels great two weeks after surgery, and his liver will grow back and function normally within months. (CBS New York)
