Jamaica Man Sentenced To Prison After Trafficking Homeless Woman: DA

Adam Lee was sentenced to eight years in prison after he forced a 35-year-old woman to sell sex at several Queens hotels, prosecutors said.

QUEENS — A man from Jamaica was sentenced to prison for sex tracking after he forced a homeless woman into prostitution earlier this year, the Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said Thursday.

Adam “Damian” Lee was sentenced to eight years in prison after he forced a 35-year-old woman to sell sex at several Queens hotels for money that he kept for himself during January 2022, prosecutors said.

The woman was staying at Floral Park Motor Lodge on Jan. 1 when a man entered her room and told her that she now worked for him and ordered her to take her clothes off and put on lingerie, Katz said.

The woman refused, Lee threatened her with a gun, and she complied to take semi-nude photographs to be used for sex advertisements, the district attorney said.

Throughout January, Lee took the 35-year-old to several Queens hotels, including the Pergola Hotel and the Casa Azul Blue Hotel, and forced her to have sex with customers that paid Lee, prosecutors said.

Lee raped and attacked the woman on Jan. 16, she called the police and was taken to a nearby hospital, Katz said.

Lee also violated an order of protection on two occasions in January and February, when he threatened to attack a 32-year-old woman between 186th Street and Hillside Avenue, and then sent her a threatening message by text message, the district attorney said.
