QUEENS, NY — An affordable housing lottery has opened for seniors and their families at an apartment building in Douglastown, for households of one to five people.
According to NYC Housing Connect, there are 17 new apartments available at 241-15 Northern Boulevard, including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts.
Apartments are available to applicants at 80 and 130 percent of the area media income (AMI), so those making between $54,755 and $198,250 annually are eligible. It is required that at least one household member is 62 years of age or older.

Tenants are responsible for electric, including the heating system. All units come with their own washer and dryer, and central air conditioning. Rent includes gas for cooking and hot water.
The residential building is pet-friendly, and other amenities include a dog park, electric vehicle charging stations, a gymnasium, a recreation room, and a rooftop terrace.
