Man Arrested For Punching Pregnant Woman In Face During Subway Attack

QUEENS, NY — A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged after he punched a 37-year-old pregnant woman in the face inside a New York City subway train last week.

The incident happened on Feb. 25 inside a southbound J train at the Jamaica Center–Parsons/Archer station, Patch previously reported.

Benitez is accused of walking up to the woman and punching her, causing laceration, bruises, and pain to the right eye.
The 37-year-old victim was not hospitalized following the assault, police said.

The woman is believed to be seven months pregnant, according to NBC New York and PIX11 reports.
