Man Beats Aunt To Death With Broom Inside NYC Home: Police

At 10:31 a.m.,​ the 29-year-old man grabbed a broom and struck the victim in the head following an argument, police said.

QUEENS, NY — A 29-year-old man is accused of beating his aunt to death with a broom following an argument between the two on Tuesday, police said.

Alexander Fleming has been charged with murder, assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon and criminal possession of a weapon, police announced on Wednesday.

At 10:31 a.m., Fleming and Juanita Dallas, 55, were in a midst of an argument when the 29-year-old man grabbed a broom and struck the victim in the head, police said.

Dallas was Fleming’s aunt, according to multiple media reports.

EMS responded to the scene and took Dallas to North Shore University Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead, police said.
