An as-yet-unidentified man was struck by a 7 train Tuesday as rush hour kicked off, police said.

QUEENS, NY — An as-yet-unidentified man was fatally struck by a subway train in Queens as Tuesday's morning rush hour kicked off, police said.
The man was hit by a 7 train headed south in the 82nd Street-Jackson Heights station about 6:25 a.m., NYPD officials said.
Details about what happened, including the man's identity, were still scant hours later.

The train strike caused the second widespread morning disruption for the 7 line in as many days.
Trains along the line still ran with delays in both directions nearly three hours later, MTA officials said.
