Man Found Dead Inside Queens Auto Repair Shop: Police

QUEENS, NY — A 65-year-old man was found dead inside a Queens auto repair shop on Monday, police said on Tuesday.

Officers responded to a 911 call at a shop located at 149-20 Cross Island Pkwy. in Whitestone around 3p.m.

At the scene, police found the victim unresponsive, police said. The 65-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

The city's medical examiners' office will determine the official cause of death.

According to multiple media reports, the victim may have been the owner of the auto repair shop.

The 65-year-old's identity has not been released pending family notification.

Police said on Tuesday that the death has been deemed not suspicious.

An investigation remains ongoing into the incident.
