Man Found Fatally Shot With Dead Woman In Queens Home

QUEENS, NY — A man and a woman were found dead inside a Queens home this past weekend, police said.

Officers found a 57-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head and an 88-year-old woman inside a home on 80th Street in Middle Village around 1 p.m. on Saturday.

A firearm was recovered at the scene, police said. The man may have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The 88-year-old woman was not shot.

According to multiple media reports, the woman's body was badly decomposed.

The identities of the two individuals have not been released pending family notification.

The city's medical examiner will determine the official cause of death. An investigation remains ongoing.
