Man Shot Dead On Queens Street, Police Say

QUEENS, NY — An unidentified man was shot dead on a Queens street early Monday, police said.

The man — whose identity had yet to be released by NYPD officials Monday — suffered several gunshot wounds in the fatal shooting at 117th Street and Rockaway Boulevard in South Ozone Park, authorities said.

NYPD officers found the gravely injured man about 1 a.m., officials said.

Medics rushed the man to Jamaica Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, authorities said.

An NYPD spokesperson didn't have many details available Monday, but said the shooting remained under investigation.
