- New York City Councilwoman Vicki Paladino was caught on camera Monday in an altercation with a constituent who she says has been squatting at a home in her district. The confrontation was posted to Twitter after the politician confronted the alleged squatter as he was backing out of the driveway at a home on 20th Avenue in College Point. The two hurled expletives at one another before parting ways. Click the link to see photos and the video from the encounter. (New York Daily News)
- A man was arrested on Monday night for throwing a brick at an ambulance. The ambulance was called to the scene at about 9:30 p.m. on Monday to assist 46-year-old Jose Vazquez, who witnesses said was acting erratically. Vazquez grabbed a brick and hurled it at the ambulance, sending it through the window, according to police. He then fought police attempting to arrest him. Four people suffered minor injuries from the event. (New York Daily News)
- Police are investigating the shooting of a man in Queens on Monday night. According to authorities, the 24-year-old was shot in the head while standing in the street at 12-50 Redfern Avenue. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. As of Tuesday evening, no arrests have been made. (WABC-TV)
