- More than 500 gathered in Corona Plaza on Saturday to end transgender discrimination. The 11th Annual Trans LatinX March was a demonstration of resiliency and a demand to end employment discrimination against trans individuals. The event was organized by Make The Road New York. - Police are searching for two moped riders after the pair reportedly committed three armed robberies in less than an hour. The two men robbed a woman, an 86-year-old man, and a 48-year-old man in various spots in Queens. To see video footage of the moped riders, click the link. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward. (CBS New York)
- Two suspects were killed by police in separate incidents on Saturday night. The two events, which took place within hours of each other, happened in Brooklyn and Queens. A man in Queens on 116th Avenue was making threats of violence against police officers. The man reportedly ignored the officers' requests to raise his hands in the air and pulled a firearm, which was followed by an exchange of gunfire and resulted in the man's death. (NBC New York)
