  1. Rising rates are beginning to cool the hot new development scene in Queens. A new report issued by Marketproof shows a 24 percent dip in signed contacts for sponsor units with the city compared to March 2022. Despite the decline, the market is still up 42 percent compared to 2019. (The Real Deal)
  2. Queen's nonprofits are being urged to apply for the federal government's Nonprofit Security Grant Program. Synagogues, churches, mosques, temples, and nonprofit institutions in the Queens area can apply for grants to improve security. The program will be distributing $250 million in funds. (QNS.com)
  3. The Queens Museum will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on May 12. The museum will be celebrating the milestone by honoring two different artists. Christine Sum Kim and Tremaine Emory will be honored at a special gala on May 12 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. (QNS.com)
