NYPD Officer Rushed To Queens Hospital For Gunshot Wound: Police
The officer, who was off duty, suffered what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.

MIDDLE VILLAGE, QUEENS — An off-duty NYPD officer was rushed to a Queens hospital after suffering what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, an NYPD spokesman said.
Cops arrived at a 69th Lane Street home in Middle Village at about 2:30 p.m. Friday and discovered the injured officer, police said. Emergency responders rushed the man to an area hospital in serious condition, an NYPD spokesman said.
The NYPD did not immediately release the officer's identity or specify to which hospital he was taken.
