Queens Man Dies Days After Glendale Car Crash

GLENDALE, QUEENS — A Glendale man passed away nearly a week after a driver struck him as he crossed the street, police said Wednesday.

Jan Galej was crossing 62nd Street at Myrtle Avenue the afternoon of July 28 when a 71-year-old man in a Nissan sedan crashed into him, according to the NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad.

Galej, 55, died six days later.

There are no arrests.
