Queens Pastor Sexually Abused Six-Year-Old, DA Says
The pastor was sentenced to seven years in prison.

QUEENS — A Queens pastor was sentenced to seven years in jail for sexually abusing a six year-old girl multiple times over the period of a year, according to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
The victim was left in the supervision of the pastor's wife's home daycare between June 2015 and June 2016, during which period Love touched the girl's genitals through her underwear, tried to kiss her and forced the six-year-old to touch his genitals, according to Brown.
James Love, 46, of Woodside was found guilty of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child earlier this month, Brown said in a statement. He will serve seven years in state prison with ten years of post-release supervision and will have to register as a sex offender.

"The victim’s mother dropped off the youngster at a trusted babysitter’s home," Brown said.
"She had every expectation that her daughter would be cared for and protected, but instead the husband of the sitter took advantage of the girl’s proximity and repeatedly violated her for his own sexual gratification. The defendant will be incarcerated to punish him for these acts as well as to protect others from his depraved impulses.”
