- If you're looking for property in Queens, you'll want to check out this week's real estate round-up. On Saturday, there are multiple properties offering open houses, including a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home in Bayside. Then on Sunday, don't miss an open house in Little Neck where you can view an 850 square foot, two-bedroom, two-bath property. (Queens Patch)
- Last week, a man was robbed at gunpoint as he entered the lobby of his apartment building in Queens. The 29-year-old victim was entering the building at 34-15 94th St. in Jackson Heights at around 9:40 p.m. on Friday when he was approached from behind by two men, one of which had a gun. The victim was not injured in the robbery, however, the suspects stole about $1,800 worth of his property. (Jackson Heights Post)
- Across Queens and Brooklyn, Catholic School students are no longer required to wear masks, both indoors and outdoors. The change took effect on Wednesday when the statewide school mask mandate was lifted. However, this change does not impact children who participate in New York City-funded Pre-K-3 and Pre-K-4 programs (UPK) offered at Catholic schools — those students must continue to wear masks as required by the New York City Department of Education.
