Here are the top three stories today in Queens:

  1. On Thursday night, a Queens high school teacher was arrested for allegedly groping a female student and sending suggestive texts to another. 31-year-old Shannon Hall, a teacher at an undisclosed school, is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated harassment. According to allegations, Hall touched a student's breast area and sent the texts to the other student on May 25. (NBC New York)
  2. The search is on for a man who is stealing just one shoe from women in Queens and Brooklyn. In each theft case, the victim has been a 24-year-old woman. The most recent case occurred on May 24 at 12:15 p.m. inside of 96-05 Queens Boulevard in Queens, when the man followed a woman inside and took her left shoe. (WABC-TV)
  3. As supply runs low, Queens residents can take part in blood drives across the borough. The region's blood supply is at an alarmingly low level, currently sitting at a three-day level, which is well below the ideal five to seven-day level. The New York Blood Center (NYBC) is holding a series of blood drives this month — see the full schedule at the link. (Queens Post)
