Queens Theatre Announces 2017-18 Season
The organization is offering shows ranging from family sagas to flamenco.
QUEENS, NY – A mix of New York-based artists and international performers is coming to Queens Theatre for its 2017-18 season.
The first show is the world premiere of "Jimmy and Carolyn," a family saga in which a retired mechanic and his wife travel from Florida to Rhode Island for a birthday celebration with their gay son. "Dark truths are exposed as the family struggles to make sense of their irreconcilable memories of the past," Queens Theatre's promotional material states. Shows start on Sept. 15. Tickets cost $18.
Dance performances this season include Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana, which the theater described as "one of the nation's premier Flamenco and Spanish dance companies."

"Drawing from centuries of Arabic, Gypsy and Sephardic Jewish influences, the company presents the extraordinarily rich diversity of Flamenco in powerful, invigorating performances," the theater announced.
