Robbers Shoot Queens Jewelry Shop Worker, Grab $15K In Loot: NYPD

QUEENS, NY — A quartet of robbers nabbed $15,000 in loot during a Queens jewelry shop heist that left a worker with gunshot wounds to his head and thigh, police said.

The 59-year-old man shot in the Dec. 12 stickup was hospitalized in stable condition, authorities said.

The robbery unfolded about 6:25 p.m. when three as-yet-unidentified men stormed into a shop at 35-35 Junction Blvd., near 37th Avenue, and demanded jewelry, police said. A fourth man remained outside as a lookout, authorities said.
