QUEENS, NY — The application process is open for a scholarship benefitting graduating high school seniors in Queens.
The African American Heritage Committee awards monetary scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors who are pursing education beyond high school. Applicants must be residents of Queens.
Queens Borough President Donovan Richards posted information about the scholarship to his Twitter page on Monday.

The deadline for the application is Jan. 10, 2022 at 5 p.m. Interested applicants must apply online and send an official high school transcript.

The scholarship winners will be notified by Feb. 1, 2022 and announced at the Queens Borough President's Black History Month Celebration on Feb. 23.
