QUEENS, NY — A school bus driver was arrested after police said she struck and killed Queens grandmother Maria Rodriguez.

Maria Marte, 47, faces two traffic charges — failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due — in Rodriguez's death Nov. 10, authorities said.

Marte that day drove a bus full of children on 107th Street in Ozone Park and tried to make a left turn onto 86th Street, where she struck Rodriguez, 73, police said.

Rodriguez, who reportedly just dropped her three grandchildren off at school, died after the crash, authorities said.
