  1. Gunfire erupted early Sunday morning outside of a lounge in Queens. The two shooters are being sought by police after also striking and critically injuring a pedestrian with their car. On Jan. 8, law enforcement sources said the shooting occurred near the Impulse Lounge at 129-04 Liberty Ave. in South Richmond Hill. The motive is unknown at this time. (AMNY)
  2. Public records show that Laithdevelopers has filed building permits for 166-16 88th Avenue, a six-story residential building in Jamaica, located between 168th Street and Merrick Boulevard near the 169th Street E and F subway station. The proposed building is a 60-foot-tall, nearly 13,000-square-foot residential space that will include 20 units averaging 648 square feet each. The steel-based structure will also have a 37-foot-long rear yard, three open parking spaces, and seven enclosed parking spaces. Demolition permits have not yet been filed, and there is no estimated completion date at this time. (New York YIMBY)
  3. The NYPD is searching for a suspect who reportedly threatened and flashed a firearm at a bus driver during an argument over fares last month. On Dec. 23, law enforcement officials say a 59-year-old MTA employee operating a Q17 bus was threatened after demanding the fare-evader pay. No one was injured in the incident. The gunman is described as about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with a medium build and a light complexion. (AMNY)
