Swimmers Reported Missing Off Rockaway Beach: FDNY

ROCKAWAY BEACH, QUEENS — FDNY divers combed through the waters off Rockaway Beach after receiving a report Tuesday afternoon that two swimmers had gone missing, a spokesperson said.

The search started about 3:30 p.m. by Beach 96th Street and Shore Front Parkway, according to the FDNY.

Witnesses told police they saw two teenagers go into the water, then never come out, ABC7 reported.

EMS brought one person who may have also been in the water to St. John's Episcopal Hospital for an evaluation, the FDNY spokesperson said.
