Teen Critically Injured After Shooting Near Queens Apartment Building

QUEENS, NY — A 19-year-old man was critically injured after being shot near a NYCHA apartment complex Monday evening, police said.

The incident happened at 34-25 Linden Place around 5:05 p.m. The location is listed as theLatimer Gardens Houses.

Officers found the 19-year-old with two gunshot wounds to the chest. He was taken to Flushing Hospital in critical condition.

What led up to the shooting is not known at this time. No arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning.

Information on a possible suspect was not readily available.
