Thief Stabs Man, Steals His Backback In Jamaica: NYPD
The man was reportedly in critical condition after the thief tackled and stabbed him three times for his backpack, police say.

JAMAICA, QUEENS -- Cops are searching for the thief who left a man in critical condition when he stabbed him three times for his backpack Jamaica.
The 27-year-old man was walking near 90 Avenue and 148th Street when the thief walked up behind him and demanded his backpack at around 4:45 a.m. on Jan. 21. When the man tried to make a run for it, the thief tackled him to the ground and stabbed him three times in the torso, police said.
The thief grabbed his backpack - whose contents included a laptop and headphones - and bolted from the scene, heading east on 90 Avenue, cops said.

Medics rushed the stabbed man to Jamaica Hospital for his injuries in what police called "critical but stable condition."
Cops described the suspect as a man between 25 and 35 years old, standing at around 6-foot-2. He was last seen wearing a black coat with a fur lined hood, jeans, black boots, a red bandana - and a green backpack.
