- Thirteen people were arrested yesterday during a protest outside the New York Times printing facility. The group wanted to block trucks carrying newspapers from leaving the facility. The protest was in relation to a group named Extinction Rebellion, noted for staging disruptive demonstrations aimed at raising awareness of climate emergency. (WABC-TV)
- Residents of an Elmhurst apartment building are without mail and packages after they were stolen last Sunday, according to the NYPD. According to police, one of the packages stolen contained a QVC bracelet valued at $50. Anyone with information is asked to come forward and contact the NYPD. (FOX 5 New York)
- A guard at Queens' Resorts World Casino is now behind bars after his heist plans were foiled. The guard had planned to threaten an armored truck driver into handing over the cash inside. Unfortunately for the perpetrator, his co-conspirator was a cooperating witness with federal officials on the case. Learn more about the heist and read a recorded conversation at the link.
