  1. Two Queens Dollar Trees were robbed at gunpoint within less than 24 hours over the weekend. During both robberies, a suspect brandished a gun in front of employees and got away with about $1,000 in cash. The Dollar Tree store at 78-02 Metropolitan Ave. in Middle Village was robbed on Saturday and the location at 39-09 Queens Blvd. in Sunnyside was robbed on Sunday. (Queens Post)
  2. This year, the St. Pats For All Parade is coming back as an in-person event. The parade, which is Sunnyside and Woodside’s largest annual event, was replaced with a virtual celebration last year due to COVID-19 restrictions. This year's parade will take place on March 6 and will follow its traditional route beginning at Skillman Avenue and 43rd Street before finishing at 58th Street and Woodside Avenue. (Ridgewood Post)
  3. On Sunday, police arrested a man with a rap sheet for the horrifying Queens subway hammer attack. The suspect, 57-year-old William Blount — whose last known address is in Astoria — is facing charges of attempted murder, robbery, and assault for the Thursday evening attack that critically wounded 57-year-old Nina Rothschild at the Queens Plaza E, M, and R station. According to sources, Blount has a half-dozen prior arrests — including on charges of robbery and criminal possession of a controlled substance. (New York Post)

Looking for a healthy alternative to that mid-week glass (or three) of wine? Our partners at Betera set out to create beverages that were sophisticated and flavorful enough to drink at cocktail hour but with zero hangover risk. (Their motto is “Drink like there’s tomorrow.”) Betera's drinks are designed by a Michelin-starred chef using natural botanicals — they're lightly effervescent, sippable, refreshingly bitter and at home in a stem glass or in a highball on the rocks. Betera offers three recipes — Rhubarb-Hibiscus, Elderflower-Lime and Ginger-Orange. We’ve tried all three and loved them equally — we recommend the mixed case as a great place to start.

Betera has extended their 15% discount on first orders to Daily readers, in appreciation for the enthusiastic response so far. Enter Patch15 at checkout and https://bit.ly/TryBetera.
