Weekend Bridge And Street Closures In Queens For Aug. 5-6

Rockaway Freeway and parts of Jamaica Avenue will be affected this weekend.

QUEENS, NY — Making plans for the weekend? Patch shares a list of street, lane and other closures in Queens from the NYC Department of Transportation to help navigate your neighborhood Aug. 5 through Aug. 6.

Ed Koch (Queensboro) Bridge

At the 58th Street entrance ramp, one of two lanes to the south upper roadway to Queens will be closed Saturdays and Sundays, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., through October 2017 in order to facilitate NYCDOT bridge component rehabilitation work.

Jamaica Avenue

Rockaway Freeway

Rockaway Freeway will be closed Aug. 5 from 6 to 10 p.m., between Beach 59th and 45th Streets, for the DOT Weekend Walks Underway Evening Celebration.

Grand Street Bridge

The bridge will be fully closed over Newtown Creek Aug. 5 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for bridge repairs.
