Weekend Bridge And Street Closures In Queens For Aug. 5-6

QUEENS, NY — Making plans for the weekend? Patch shares a list of street, lane and other closures in Queens from the NYC Department of Transportation to help navigate your neighborhood Aug. 5 through Aug. 6.

Ed Koch (Queensboro) Bridge

At the 58th Street entrance ramp, one of two lanes to the south upper roadway to Queens will be closed Saturdays and Sundays, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., through October 2017 in order to facilitate NYCDOT bridge component rehabilitation work.

Jamaica Avenue

Jamaica Avenue will be closed Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., between Parsons Boulevard and 169th Street, for the JAMS Jamaica Avenue Festival. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

Rockaway Freeway

Rockaway Freeway will be closed Aug. 5 from 6 to 10 p.m., between Beach 59th and 45th Streets, for the DOT Weekend Walks Underway Evening Celebration.

Grand Street Bridge

The bridge will be fully closed over Newtown Creek Aug. 5 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for bridge repairs.
