Here are the top three stories in Queens today:
- A woman had her jaw broken by an attacker on the subway. According to police, the man walked up to the woman and punched her in the face, breaking her jaw. The attack happened about the southbound 7 train near the Hunters Point Avenue station early on Sunday. Police say there was no exchange between the two prior to the attack, and the suspect ran off. - It's not a phone game, it's a very dangerous real-life activity. A 15-year-old and a 12-year-old are the latest to be injured in subway surfing incidents, according to the NYPD Chief of Transit. Deaths due to the activity have occurred in 2021, 2019, 2017, and 2016. NYC Transit President Richard Davey asks people to "Please, please do something else with your time." (PIX11 New York News)
