QUEENS, NY — A woman was found dead in the water near Fort Totten in Queens over the weekend, police said.

The victim was found unresponsive in the water around 11:15 a.m. on Sunday.

The woman, identified as Sharon Shao, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a PIX11 report.
