Woman Shot In The Face And Hand In College Point, NYPD Says
Police released photos Friday of a Mustang with rally stripes they saw was involved in the Whitestone Expressway shooting.

QUEENS, NY – A woman was shot in the face during a wild shootout on a Queens expressway, police said Friday.
The woman, 21, was shot riding in a gray 2004 Acura sedan on the Whitestone Expressway, near 20th Avenue, about 3:20 a.m. last Monday, according to the NYPD.
Two cars pulled up near the Acura — and a Nissan Sentra following behind — when bullets suddenly began to fly, police said.

The woman was rushed to Queens hospital where she was treated for two bullet wounds, one to her left hand, and released, police said.
The Nissan was struck five times and no other injuries were reported, said police.

The NYPD released pictures of the two cars — a Mustang with rally stripes and a black sedan — on Friday.
Suspects were spotted on surveillance footage in front of 124-03 18 Ave. in another part of College Point, nine minutes away from the crime scene, said an NYPD report.
