- A woman waiting for help after her car was struck in Queens wound up getting shot in the leg during a crazed clash between rival tow truck companies. Susy Delgado, 48, called 911 after a speeding Range Rover slammed into her parked car at Sutter Ave. The tow truck workers who later showed up got into a fierce quarrel over who would get to tow Delgado’s wrecked car, and the fight quickly escalated with one worker whipping a gun out of his pocket and firing multiple times before hitting his would-be customer instead. - The New York City Marathon returned from a pandemic pause on Sunday. Albert Korir of Kenya won the New York City Marathon men’s race, two years after coming in second. In the women’s race, Peres Jepchirchir of Kenya pulled away at the entrance to Central Park and became the first woman to win a marathon major in the fall after winning an Olympic gold medal. - Nicki Minaj has been accused of being a gangbanger with a ruthless Queens gang, Makk Balla Brims, according to lawyers in a $20 million lawsuit. (AllHipHop)
- Four NYPD officers were hospitalized Saturday after the police cruiser they were traveling in struck a median and flipped over in Queens. (WPIX 11 New York)
- Permits have been filed for an 11-story hotel building at 131-24 40th Road in Flushing, Queens. Located between College Point Boulevard and Flushing Creek, the lot is near the Main Street subway station, serviced by the 7 train. (New York YIMBY)
