Police: Locals Caught With Drugs, Gun, and Money
Police say two Flanders men and one Riverhead man were in a car outside CB's Bar and Grill early Saturday morning with cocaine, pills, marijuana, alcohol, a defaced gun, and almost $1,700 cash.
Southampton Town police arrested three local men early Saturday morning outside a Hampton Bays bar and said they found drugs, a gun and money in the car all three were sitting in.
Police were reportedly patrolling the area when they said they noticed three men - two from Flanders and one from Riverhead - acting suspiciously while seated in a car behind CB's Bar and Grill on Montauk Highway. After approaching the car, the driver was reportedly seen rolling a joint and open alcohol containers were allegedly seen in the car as well.
Police said that after further investigation, 13 Oxycodone pills, 10 packages of marijuana, over a half gram of cocaine, nearly $1,700 in cash, a scale, packaging supplies and a loaded, defaces .40 Glock semi-automatic were all found in the car.

Justin Benkov, 26, of Flanders, was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a class C felony; two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony; criminal possession of marijuana in the third degree, a class E felony; and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Joshua McDermott, 23, of Flanders, was arrested on charges of the following: two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor; possessing an open alcohol container in a vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Kenneth Gordon, 36, of Riverhead, was arrested on charges of the following: criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor; possessing an open alcohol container in a vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Benkov and MCDermott were processed and held for arraignmant. Gordon was released on an appearance ticket, to return May 15. The vehicle was impounded.
