RIVERHEAD, NY — Visits and pictures with Santa Claus are treasured traditions for many Riverhead families. In Riverhead, kids have several chances to see jolly old St. Nick in person.

When: Saturday, December 7, beginning at 1 p.m.
Where: Downtown Riverhead

What: The event includes the Lions Club parade, Santa's arrival by boat and photos with Santa, free hot cocoa, the annual bonfire, and musical performances.
When: Saturday, December 7 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: The Shoppes at East Wind, 5768 NY-25A, Wading River, NY, 11792
What: It's the 8th Annual Tree Lighting! Stop by to put a letter in Santa’s mailbox* , enjoy live DJ entertainment with LI Sound Entertainment and dance numbers by All Star Dance Academy, Ride Rudolph on the carousel and more holiday fun including holiday shopping. Santa arrives on a Wading River Fire Department Fire Truck at 6 p.m. to light the tree. Bring a new unwrapped toy to support Toys for Tots and the US Marines and a non-perishable food item for local families in need.
Don't forget to bring your camera to take free photo with Santa. Admission is free.

Rail Road Museum Of Long Island Holiday Open House With Santa Visit
When: Saturday, December 7, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 416 Griffing Avenue, Riverhead
What: Santa arrives at noon on a track speeder. Refreshments, gifts for kids, gift shop open, try t win a Lionel "O' gauge toy trainset.
Long Island Aquarium Santa Brunch
Where: Long Island Aquarium, 431 East Main Street, Riverhead; seatings at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m.
What: Celebrate the season at the annual Santa Brunch! Enjoy a delicious brunch served family-style in the waterfront Sea Star Ballroom, and take along a camera to capture a family photo with Santa. The kids will make a special take-home holiday keepsake.
Guests can also time to enjoy the Aquarium, open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; admission is included with brunch fee!

What: Sundays, December 8 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
