St. John Paul II Regional School Kicks Off Catholic Schools Week

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK CELEBRATION BEGINS SUNDAY JAN. 29 AT

ST. JOHN PAUL II REGIONAL SCHOOL

St. John Paul II Regional Catholic School (515 Marcy Avenue, Riverhead NY 11901) in Riverhead will join with 35 Catholic Schools across Long Island and the thousands of Catholic Schools across the country in the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States -- Catholic Schools Week 2023.

Founded in 2018 and rooted in teachings of Patron Saint, Pope John Paul II, St. John Paul II Regional School, is in its fifth year of educating God's greatest gift, our children. The school continues to provide a spiritually rich and challenging academic program for children in grades PreK-3 through 8. St. John Paul II Regional School strives to create and foster an environment in response to the call of the mission of the Church: to proclaim the message of Jesus, to participate in worship, to build a faith community, and to respond in service to others locally and globally.

Open House:

St. John Paul II Regional Catholic School will offer an open house on Sunday,

February 5, 2023, from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Pre-K 3 & 4, Kindergarten-grade 5 and middle school tours will be conducted.

“On behalf of our Regional pastors and dedicated faculty and staff, I would like to welcome all families into our school for our open house,” said Abbey Swiatkowski, Principal, St. John Paul II Regional School. “If you’re thinking of where to send your child, I invite you to stop by during our open house or if you’re not able to at that time, contact us and we’ll be happy to arrange a personal tour that fits with your schedule.”

During open house parents can:

• meet faculty and staff
• tour the classrooms and school campus
• learn about the many school programs and extracurricular activities
• Discover available financial resources
• Learn about admissions information

Catholic Schools Week is celebrated nationally January 29 – February 4, 2023. During Catholic Schools Week, schools across Long Island will host special Masses, open houses and activities for students, administrators, faculty, school staff, the community and families. On Long Island, the 35 Catholic elementary schools have exciting celebrations and activities planned for Catholic Schools Week 2023.

St. John Paul II Regional School kicks off Catholic Schools Week with Mass, Monday January 30th at 12:00 p.m. at St. Isidore’s Church, followed by the Faith, Reason & Service Award Ceremony.

During Catholic Schools Week, the Diocese of Rockville Centre encourages parents of children approaching school age to visit their parish, regional or private Catholic school and to consider enrolling their child for the upcoming school year.
