CSTL Presents “Wetland Wonders” at Monthly Sunday Science Series
Hands-on educational program explores wetland habitats and folklore on June 22

The Center for Science will host its next Sunday Science Series on Sunday, June 22, featuring this month's captivating theme: "Wetland Wonders." This monthly program offers children an engaging opportunity to explore science through hands-on learning with experienced educators. Taking place at the scenic Tanglewood Preserve, young scientists will dive into the amazing world of wetland habitats, discovering the fascinating creatures that call these ecosystems home. The program uniquely combines scientific exploration with cultural education, as participants investigate the myths and legends surrounding wetlands and learn how these natural discoveries may have inspired the folklore that has developed over time. The program covers topics spanning biology, chemistry, and environmental science, giving children a comprehensive introduction to wetland ecology. Participants will have the opportunity to observe wildlife, examine water samples and learn about the critical role wetlands play in our environment.
