LI Children's Museum Debuts New Family Friendly Concert Series

GARDEN CITY, NY — The Long Island Children's Museum (LICM) has a new concert series for the entire family.

"Musical Explorers!" introduces young audiences to a diverse world of music, featuring an array of global sounds and cultures. Concerts will showcase jazz, hip-hop, Latin music and more.

"Music is a universal language that connects us all, transcending borders, cultures and generations -- it’s a core part of what makes us human," explains LICM Theater Program Director James Packard. "Musical Explorers! offers our audiences the opportunity to dive deeper into the many ways that music speaks to us."

Musical Explorers! kicks off with four performances (November 30 and December 1) by Grammy award-winning family funk sensation, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo. They bring an electrifying blend of hip-hop, science fiction-inspired storytelling and feel-good tunes.

The iconic Jazz at Lincoln Center quintet performs at the LICM stage to offer an exploration of “Louis Armstrong’s Great Migration." Dates are January 19 and 20.

Tickets for Secret Agent 23 Skidoo are $11 with museum admission ($9 for museum members) or $15 for the show only. You can purchase tickets online or at the museum box office.
