Man Dies In Baldwin Crash Early Saturday: Police

He lost control of his vehicle and struck a utility pole, police say.

BALDWIN, NY —A man died in a fatal Baldwin crash early Saturday, police said.

According to Nassau County police, the crash took place on Saturday at 5:12 a.m. when a 42-year-old man, who was driving a 2025 Mazda northbound on Grand Avenue, lost control of his vehicle and struck a utility pole in the vicinity of Ethel T. Kloberg Drive.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local area hospital, where he was pronounced by a hospital physician, police said.
