Blind Brook Markets Itself to Non-Residents for $20,000 a Year

For about $20,000 a year, any student will be able to attend Blind Brook schools, thanks to the Board of Education's authorization of the Pinnacle Partnership, which is designed to attract non-resident tuition students to the district. The plan is an effort to cope with falling enrollment and increasing pension and health care costs.

Blind Brook Superintendent William Stark told Channel 2 News the district hopes to attract 24 students, which would bring the district an additionalΒ $500,000 in tuition next year.Β

The Journal News and Wall Street Journal have both published articles on the decision, and Channel 2 News aired a piece on it Wednesday night. You can watch it here.Β
