Blind Brook Superintendent Asks Parents Not to Text and Drive
A message from WIlliam J. Stark, Blind Brook School District Superintendent.

Dear Members of the Blind Brook Community:
I am certain that we would all agree that the safety of our students should be of paramount concern to us all. There are many facets to student safety. I want to bring to your attention one aspect, distracted driving. A significant percentage of accidents that occur in this country are the result of driver inattention. That can be caused by many factors including technology and most specifically use of cell phones for talking and especially texting. This is recognized by the State of New York in that the use of a cellphone for texting in a moving vehicle is a traffic violation. This includes the grounds of the Blind Brook School District.
During arrival and dismissal it is expected that everyone will adhere to this regulation. Our children are counting on you to do so.
