Carve Stone, Learn Ballet, Recycle Art at Rye Arts Center

This fall's classes offer unique ways for residents of all ages to be creative.

The classes and workshops for all ages begin on Sept. 12. Classes in fine, music and performing arts will introduce children, teens and adults to the worlds of robotics, fashion design and recycled art, to name a few.

Watercolor, adult ballet, pastels and stone carving are also offered.

Learn basic principles and fundamentals of botanical drawing in this fun and informative workshop, designed for those with some drawing skills (not recommended for Β beginners.) A great way to enhance your drawing techniques. Please see our website for supply list. About Bonnell: Bonnie exhibits throughout the tri-state area, and received her Botanical Illustration degree from NYBG. Her work shows a unique sensitivity and a keen attention to detail and has won many awards in the media of watercolor, graphics and photography. She has participated in several Westchester Beaux Arts competitions, winning first place for her graphic work, Bouquet. Bonnie’s work is part of the permanent collection at Lawrence Hospital, Bronxville, New York.

Β Fumasoli and Harris, long time musical cohorts, will present a show consisting of hot jazz standards, original compositions, high energy funk and R&B. Roger Ball, co-founder, former band member and writer of β€œAWB’s” famous hit β€œPick Up the Pieces” will be performing with the group.Β  Reservations requested.
