There are several events scheduled in the coming weeks in the Rye area to get into the holiday spirit.
RYE, NY — There is no shortage of things to do in Rye to get the winter holiday season off to a rollicking good start.
Christmas and Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish festival of lights, intersect this year, with Hanukkah running Dec. 18-26. Christmas, of course, is on Dec. 25, but you don’t have to wait to start taking in all the sights and sounds of the holidays.

- Dec. 2: Rye Brook Winter Fest, Pine Ridge Park, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
- Dec. 3: The Barley Beach House Breakfast with Santa, multiple weekend dates & times
- Dec. 3: The Barley Beach House Holiday Market & Christmas Tree Lighting, 4 p.m. - 9 p.m.
- Dec. 4: The Westchester Chordsmen, "Sing the Songs of the Season," Rye Presbyterian Church, 3 p.m.
- Dec. 4: Rye Recreation's Holiday Bonfire & Sing-a-long, Recreation Park, starts at 4 p.m.
- Dec. 9 (NEW DATE): Holiday Lights at Crawford Park, Rye Brook, 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
- Dec. 18: Wainwright House Children's Holiday Party, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
- Dec. 20 (NEW DATE): City of Rye Fire Department Candy Cane Run, starts at 4 p.m.
