City Awards $672K Sidewalk and Resurfacing Contracts; Sidewalk Sale Set for July
Bilotta Construction Corp. Awarded $215K Contract for Sidewalk Replacement.

Street Resurfacing Contract Awarded
City officials awarded a $412,850 contract for street resurfacing to the lowest responsible bidder ELQ Industries at their last city council meeting.
According to the city resolution: "using the City of Rye’s Pavement Management System, the Engineering Department has prioritized a list of streets for resurfacing. Utility companies have been notified of the selected streets in order to coordinate construction activities and avoid excavation of new roadways."

Sidewalk Replacement Contract Awarded
The Rye city council approved a resolution to award the lowest responsible bidder, Bilotta Construction Corp., a $215,700 contract for annual sidewalk replacement at the June 12 City Council meeting. Bilotta served as the city’s contractor for the Elm Place Wall and the 2010 Pedestrian Safety improvements, according to a memo from City Manager Scott Pickup.

Annual Sidewalk Sale Set for July 25-27
The Rye Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual sidewalk sale from Thursday, July 25 until Saturday, July 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Rye city streets.
Chamber members will be setting out tables and tents to sell goods for the annual event.
