Finch & Co Teams Up with Rye Country Day School for Furniture Drive

Finch & Co, a full-service interior design studio and retail store based in Rye, NY, announced a new partnership with Furniture Sharehouse, Westchester’s only Furniture Bank, naming it their preferred charity of choice.

Since 2007, Furniture Sharehouse has provided free furniture to economically disadvantaged individuals and families living in Westchester County, giving them the basic household furnishings that enable them to rebuild their lives and live with dignity. Furniture Sharehouse connects donations of gently used furniture from Westchester residents with those living in furniture poverty right here in Westchester County. Additionally, by connecting used furniture with those in need, Furniture Sharehouse is keeping thousands of pounds of bulk out of the waste stream.

Seeing a common goal, Finch & Co is actively encouraging its retail clients and design trade partners to incorporate donations of no longer wanted or needed furniture to Furniture Sharehouse as they bring new furniture, art, accessories, lighting and kitchen and bedding items into their homes. The cooperative program centers around repurposing quality, gently used items for families in need by underwriting donation delivery costs for all pre-approved donations made by Finch & Co customers and trade sales given to Furniture Sharehouse.

On May 4, 12 - 3pm, Finch & Co is working with Students from Rye Country Day School to host a Small furniture and home accessories drive to benefit Furniture Sharehouse. Tax receipts will be available for donations of much needed gently used small furniture, lamps, bedding, kitchen items and more for the deserving clients struggling with furniture poverty across Westchester.
