Garden Club Of America Awards Rye's City Planner And City Engineer

The Club Civic Improvement Commendation is given to leaders who promote "the knowledge and love of gardening" and protect the environment.

CITY OF RYE, NY — If you find yourself admiring and marveling at Rye's green spaces, you're not alone.

At the Rye City Council Meeting this month, the Garden Club of America awarded Rye City Planner, Christian Miller and Rye City Engineer, Ryan Coyne the Club Civic Improvement Commendation.

The commendation recognizes "leaders who promote the knowledge and love of gardening and restore, improve, and protect the environment."

The award was presented by the outgoing Rye Garden Club president, Lisa Wallace, and Garden Club of America President, Marilyn Donahue was also in attendance.
