The Osborn hosted a reception and gallery tour for The Gratitude Project: Paintings & Poetry of the U.S. Poets Laureate on November 12.

In this project, Hilda Green Demsky, a celebrated artist and resident of The Osborn, masterfully interprets the poetic reflections of more than 30 U.S. State Poets Laureate, who, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, shared their thoughts on what their communities were thankful for. These poignant verses, originally published by The New York Times, served as the inspiration for Hilda’s stunning series of oil paintings.

Each canvas combines geographic elements, symbolic color, and a subtle outline of the represented state, offering a unique visual representation of the poets' gratitude.
