• Fired Worker Used Access To Amazon Prime Account To Steal Thousands From Former Employer: Police (patch.com) — Rye police say a former employee of Milton Point Provisions allegedly used the store’s Amazon Prime business account to make more than $4,300 in unauthorized purchases after being fired. Detectives traced over 30 orders for items like gift cards and household supplies to the ex-worker, who was arrested, charged with felony grand larceny, and arraigned in Rye City Court.

• Leaf-Blower Summonses Reach Record High in Rye This Year Thanks to Heightened Policing (ryerecord.com) — Rye police have more than doubled gas-powered leaf blower summons this year, after launching dedicated “leaf blower patrols” to enforce the city’s strict seasonal rules. Fines now reach up to $1,500 for repeat offenses, and Mayor‑elect Josh Nathan and Councilman James Ward are pushing a proposal next year that could fully phase out gas blowers in favor of electric models.
