Playland To Run Ferry Service From NYC To Celebrate 95th Anniversary

RYE, NY — Playland has announced the return of Manhattan ferry service to Westchester, but just for one day only.

A special cruise to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the historic seaside amusement park will bring city dwellers to the Playland Pier for a day of fun.

The $75 roundtrip cruise ticket includes all-day access to Playland Amusement Park and Playland Beach, along with admission to live performances by Larger than Life and Abba Mia. The park's famed fireworks display will be on view overhead as the day trippers depart for the return voyage to the city.

Organizers say space is limited. There will be one morning ferry with three New York City departures, including one stop in the Bronx, and two return ferries departing from Playland at 6 p.m. and 9:20 p.m.

Departures (Inbound):

• Depart from East 34th at 11:20 a.m.
• Depart from East 90th at 11:50 a.m.
• Depart from Ferry Point at 12:20 p.m.
• Arrive at Playland 1:05 p.m.

Departures (Outbound):

• Depart Playland at 6 p.m. or 9:20 p.m.
• Arrive Ferry Point at 6:40 p.m./10 p.m.
• Arrive East 90th at 6:55 p.m./10:25 p.m.
• Arrive East 34th at 7:15 p.m./10:40 p.m.
