Police: Tornado Watch in Rye Area Until 11 p.m.

From the City of Rye Police Department via Nixle: High winds expected (20-30, gusts of 50-55 mph) until 2 AM. Tornado Watch until 11 PM. Use caution in wooded areas

High winds are impacting our area and are expected through 2:00 AM. A Tornado Watch is in effect until 11:00 PM. Sustained winds of 20 to 30 MPH with gusts of 50 to 55 MPH are expected, along with heavy rain. Highest impact is expected between 8:00 PM and 2:00 AM. Please use caution, especially in wooded areas, and avoid contact with any wires that may fall due to the weather.
