Half Day for Half Pints: Classes begin Sept. 16 for new Pre-K arts immersion half day program offered Monday and/or Friday mornings; Tuesday and/or Wednesday afternoons. Available by semester or full year. Enrollment limited. Call 967-0700 for information.

Painters On Location: Join The Rye Arts Center to celebrate the scenic beauty of Rye as we bring over 40 professional artists together for a one-day paint-out. Painters create picturesque landscapes during the day. Meet the artists and bid on the wet masterpieces in a live auction that evening, September 28th.

Tweens & Teens programs for the 21st Century Artist: Enrollment is open for 3 new programs to stimulate creative thinking in 21st century design and building, all set in small group settings. Classes begin 9/23.  Siege Machines and Medieval Fortresses Create miniature replicas of medieval siege machines and fortresses. Friday Evening Arts Interact and explore art through painting, drawing, creative building, Minecraft and more. Rising Artists Program for Teens at The Rye Arts Center: The Rye Arts Center’s brand new program for teens this Fall specially designed to mentor teens interested in exploring careers in creative fields. The program, aka R.A.P. @ RAC, is designed to expose teens to careers in fields such as advertising, digital animation, film-making, journalism, publishing, media arts, photography, fashion, illustration, music, performing arts and more.  The semester long program will include access to guest speakers plus hands-on studio time in The RAC’s painting, ceramics, and digital arts studios as well as the darkroom (one of only a few still available in the area), where photos are developed using traditional methods.
